Short North eatery will close after this weekend

A Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) concept is calling it quits after this weekend.

According to a statement posted to its social media accounts, El Segundo Mexican Kitchen will close this weekend.

“Our journey together at El Segundo Mexican Kitchen has come to an end. But before we go, on March 3, we want to see you again. Share your stories, savor your favorite dishes, and bid us farewell in style,” the statement reads. No additional details about why the eatery closed have been revealed.

The eatery is located at 698 N. High St. in the Short North.

The CMR eatery, which is inspired by Mexican street food and aims to serve responsibly-sourced ingredients in its dishes, originally opened for business on Aug. 31 of 2021.
