Beloved Ohio hiking spot named the best in the entire nation by ‘USA Today’s 10Best Awards’

One of Columbus’ favorite places for a day-hike happens to be winning award after award. In 2023, Forbes named it one of the best places to travel, and U.S. News & World Report recently named it the best place to visit in all of Ohio.

This is none other than Hocking Hills State Park of course. And now, readers from USA Today’s 10Best has just named it as having the best hiking trail in the entire nation.

Specifically, Whispering Cave, one of the several trails at Hocking Hills, beat out other popular trails in the country, even in Yellowstone National Park and the scenic hike up to the iconic Hollywood sign in Los Angeles. 

If you haven’t yet visited Hocking Hills, it’s located in Logan, OH, and boasts a gorgeous waterfall, cool caves, and of course, award-winning hiking trails. If you want to plan your visit, there are a ton of cabins and treehouses you can rent!
