Columbus food truck serving biscuit sandwiches eyeing first-ever brick and mortar home

A Columbus food truck focused on biscuits is hoping to expand into its first brick and mortar space.

According to a social media statement from the Biscuit Boss food truck, the brand is on the hunt for a brick and mortar storefront.

‘We have been searching but nothing feels like home just yet,” the statement reads. “If you know any space for lease in Hilliard, Dublin, Worthington, Westerville…anywhere on the North or West Side which is close to home for us. Even Marysville or possibly Delaware.”

Biscuit Boss noted that ideal storefront for them would be something with a pick-up window or a small dine-in space, but it would also be open to taking over a prep kitchen or a coffee shop in need of a food partner.

“The end goal for us is yes of course we would love a full service space where people can gather and we can create a community gathering space, But I have not yet forgotten the pandemic and have huge reservations about a full restaurant at the moment considering my business was born out of loosing my job during the pandemic,” owner Casey Stevens told 614Now. “Financially, we are treading lightly and focused on a space to spread out and build capacity to serve more catering needs and support additional trucks.

The food truck–which opened in 2020–serves French Toast Bites, tot bowls topped with gravy and biscuit sandwiches that include ingredients like fried chicken and jalapeno honey butter.

The eatery’s statement said that the Biscuit Boss food truck will continue to operate.

” I want to be that little neighborhood spot tucked away with the awesome food you can tell is made with love, and the atmosphere that feels like hanging at your best friend’s house,” Stevens said. “We have consistently grown every year and I’m confident that if we build it they will come so to speak. Our first brick and mortar probably won’t be a fancy brand new flagship building but it will be special nonetheless.”
