Suspects sought in Franklinton shooting

Police responded to a shooting in Franklinton Monday night, and two people were found with gunshot wounds. Robert D. Bass, 22, was shot in the upper body and was pronounced dead on the scene while Cherod D. Houchins, 21, was taken to Mt. Carmel West Hospital with several gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the hospital. Witnesses around the home where the shooting took place say they saw two men walk into the house from the back and then fire shots into the house before leaving.
