UA, Dublin, Grove City students walk out in protest of gun violence

Despite the rainy conditions, students at Upper Arlington High School and Dublin Scioto walked out Wednesday afternoon in protest of gun violence. This comes after 17 people were killed by a gunman in Parkland, Florida.

Students at Grove City High School would have been among the walk outs but weather kept them in the gym for a peaceful protest, reports ABC6.

ABC6 reports the walkout at UA was organized by a few juniors who spread the word using social media. The students are supported by administrators.

Reactions from people in the Facebook comments on the UA video above are mixed—from supportive to critical.

Students at Dublin Scioto sat outside in silence 17 minutes while writing support notes to be mailed to the Florida shooting survivors, according to Chicago Tribune.
