Access approved: $20 computers for central Ohio students

In a new program with the goal of improving access to remote education, qualifying central Ohio families with K-12 students can now purchase $20 refurbished computers and a year’s worth of internet access for an additional $20.

Those figures represent one-time, up-front costs, and a limited amount of financial aid is also available.

The refurbished computer package comes with a monitor, accessories, and basic software, while the internet offer includes a new hotspot device with a 12-month unlimited data plan. Up to 10,000 families are expected to benefit from the program.
