Gallo’s is getting an updated look
Gallo’s Kitchen and Bar is getting a facelift.
The restaurant, which opened in 2015 at 2820 Nottingham Rd. in Upper Arlington, started work on a private room just before COVID hit, said owner Nick Gallo.
“That was just probably luck,” he said of the timing.

While that project wrapped up just before summer, now the restaurant is adding brand new flooring for the entire space and updating the bar area, Gallo said.
The floors will be finished at the end next week, he said. The restaurant is doing carryout only through Wednesday, and Thursday will reopen for dine-in service for the remainder of the week. The following week, the restaurant will again be open for only carryout service Monday through Wednesday.
Gallo said he hopes to have the bar finished by late spring.
The original bar is nine years old, Gallo said. The updated version will be a backlit bar, with 12 wines on draft. They’re also adding four new TVs and a new sound system.
“We wanted to clean up the back bar,” he said.
