As the pressure of allegations against him increased, Father James Csaszar of the Church of Resurrection in New Albany took his own life yesterday.
Csaszar was placed on administrative leave in November after officials discovered his “excessive and questionable text and telephone communications with a minor and potential misuse of church funds,” reports The Dispatch.
“In his years of priestly ministry Fr. Csaszar did many good things for the people that he served in his parish assignments,” the release says per The Dispatch.
Csaszar was in Chicago when he killed himself.
