Ohio State: Most multiyear scholarships for athletes

For many athletes, it’s not just about winning. Athletes across the country are susceptible to having their scholarship yanked out from under their feet, and there is more than just a slight difference between a one year scholarship and a four year scholarship. CBS Sports took most of last year’s AP Top 25 and broke down how many multiyear scholarships were actually getting handed out at some of the top schools. Ohio State was no. 1. OSU has 725 athletes on scholarship and gave out 104 multiyear scholarships, the majority of which were for four years. No. 2 Florida State gave out 88 multiyear scholarships. Clemson, Oregon, Missouri and others were among schools that handed out a single multiyear scholarship.
