Seven months later, is Prohibition opening?
The Prohibition Gastro Lounge has more than 1,000 likes on Facebook, but has yet to open its doors. That could soon change. After months of delays which included struggling through renovating a building that was more than a century old, the Powell restaurant is set to open this weekend. The two-story building will have seating both upstairs and downstairs and as homage to their namesake has crafted personal cocktails specific to their bar only. Cris Dehlavi of M at Miranova (and one of the most renowned mixologists in the area) has created the nine signature cocktails and six classic drinks, according to ThisWeek Community News. The interior has bits of rustic history strewn throughout Amish-crafted tables and a bar made out of repurposed fences.
