Feds give thumbs up to OSU band investigation
TBDBITL fans might not be pleased with Ohio State, but federal officials are. “I applaud Ohio State for taking strong leadership now to eradicate a culture of silence related to sexual harassment. I look forward to working with Ohio State as it implements the resolution agreement,” wrote Catherine E. Lhamon, assistant secretary for civil rights, according to the Dispatch. OSU and federal education officials have made a deal, and the school will fix the problems within its sexual discrimination polices. The report that was released Thursday said that the university still has lingering issues but was overall improving in the way it handles sexual discrimination. While the school has signed the deal to work on those problems, feds still seem pretty pleased with how the band situation went down.
