Supporters of Jon Waters are not giving up. About 70 gathered at the Board of Trustees meeting Friday, bringing their instruments and playing fight songs at the board before the meeting. A spokesman for the group was given five minutes to speak at the meeting, saying he thought the situation was far from over. After he sat down, the meeting was adjourned and the board began to leave, which was when the only outburst took place. “I just want all you busy people to take two seconds to listen. I owe $80,000 to this university, and my son is humiliated to put his name as a band member on a resume,” said Mary Ann Kimbro, according to the Dispatch.
