18yo allegedly weaves fake story of attempted abduction

Last week, police were searching Westerville for a man after an 18-year-old woman reported someone had attempted to assault and abduct her when she got off a COTA bus. Jonai Iman Patrick has now been charged with making false alarms after she allegedly admitted to making up the situation. Police in the area had reviewed videos and interviewed witnesses, but could not find a suspect that matched her description. She had originally said that she has been groped by a man on a COTA bus and then fled the bus and sprayed the man with pepper spray in order to escape.
