Victoria’s Secret Pink (housed under Columbus’ L. Brands) is known for selling bras and underwear. Thomas Pink Ltd. menswear is not. Still though, Victoria’s Secret Pink lost a trademark infringement case in London to the British haberdashery, because apparently men could become infinitely confused when walking into the pink colored stores expecting to find a men’s suit. (That happens?) “Consumers are likely to enter one of the claimant’s shops looking for lingerie and be surprised and disappointed when they find they have made a mistake,” London Judge Colin Birss wrote, Bloomberg reported. And those confused customers would be “detriment to the repute” of Thomas Pink Ltd.
