New COTA line from downtown to New Albany
The jobs out in New Albany are a plenty. From Abercrombie & Fitch to Bob Evans to Aetna, the corporate area is booming and there are about 12,000 jobs in the area. The residential population of New Albany is just 9,000 though, and jobs out number the people who are actually there meaning there’s quite a few who commute to the area each day. The city has partnered up with COTA to create a transit system going from downtown to the New Albany Business Park. From there a shuttle will take commuters all over the business park to where they need to go. The service is set to begin Sept. 2.
