Thursday night’s meeting will be the last of three for the planning of “downtown Franklinton.” Parks along residential and commercial development have been proposed for Broad Street which acts as the face of the neighborhood. “The community emphasized the need to improve the perception and appearance of the area,” said City of Columbus planner Christine Palmer Leed, according to Columbus Underground. The main goal though is for slow but steady growth in the area, not rapid change.
