Look! Up in the air, it’s an HBO miniseries!
Hollywood is taking notice of the Buckeye state. We just had John Travolta finish up filming here, and Cincinnati is boasting some pretty impressive film rights too. This time around though, it’s Ohio itself that’ll be the background of an upcoming HBO miniseries. Playtone (Tom Hanks’ production company) and HBO are teaming up for an adaptation of David McCullough’s book, The Wright Brothers.
And if you’ve somehow missed the “Ohio: Birthplace of Aviation” connection (or are just too lazy to wiki it), here’s the rundown: Wilbur and Orville Wright (aka the Wright Brothers) are from Dayton and are known for creating the first working airplane. (deb)
