Columbus’s First Cat Cafe
We’ve heard about them for a while now and most of us thought they only existed in California, or maybe Portland, but Columbus now has their very own cat cafe.
Eat Purr Love Cat Cafe gives you the best of both worlds, kitty play time and coffee. What more could anyone want, honestly? This new cafe/cat adoption home features 12 feline playmates, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
They are the lucky first residents of the cat cafe, and all of them are up for adoption. Visitors can pay $10 to spend an hour with the cats, and they can also purchase coffee and bakery treats from Pattycake Bakery as to fuel up after a session of kitty cuddling.
Eat Purr Love is meant to serve as a unique adoption venue, where guests and cats alike can experience a home environment, very different from most stressed and crowded cat shelters.
Because one of their goals is to maximize the guest experience and reduce stress for the kitties, Eat Purr Love suggests making reservations at the cafe as only 15 guests are allowed in the cat play area at a time.
The venue will host events aside from their daily cat visits, such as yoga and painting with cats. For more information you can visit their website or drop in during their open hours.
Eat Purr Love Cat Cafe is located on 3041 Indionola Ave.
