Step aside, Sandra Bullock, Nina West crowned Miss Congeniality on ‘Drag Race’
In case you weren’t already aware, Columbus’ unofficial ambassador to the world, Nina West, was among the field of competitors in the recent season 11 of Ru Paul’s Drag Race on VH-1.
In spite of her impressive performances, including an episode 3 win for her performance in the ‘Diva Worship’ challenge, West was eliminated in the 11th episode of the season.

While she may not have taken the top spot, West wowed Ru and the other judges with the trademark charm that has made her a star on the Columbus drag scene. It’s no surprise that our hometown hero was selected as the season 11 winner of “Miss Congeniality!”
Following her memorable TV run, West announced the release of a children’s music album, Drag Is Magic, and a comedy EP, titled John Goodman, both of which are available now. West also dropped a music video for her first single, “Hucks,” on May 10.
Congrats Nina, and thanks being a great representative of what our city is all about!
