CBC Restaurant replacement finally announced

The former CBC restaurant will soon go by a new acronym.

The owners of Pat and Gracie’s will be opening up a new concept called P and G Wood Fired Kitchen at 525 Short St., the space occupied by CBC Restaurant for the past two decades.

P and G’s menu will consist of several main entrees like steaks, ribs, and fish, unlike the Clintonville and Downtown Pat and Gracie’s restaurants that are best known for their hand-pattied smash burgers. Columbus Business First reports P and G’s lunch menu will be similar to Pat and Gracie’s, though.

The new restaurant is tentatively planned to open mid-June.

Last summer, CBC Restaurant announced it would be closing to rebrand as Oxbow on Short. However, severe health issues rendered one owner, Doug Griggs, incapable of continuing. CBC Restaurant’s final day of operation was July 29.

The first Pat and Gracie’s opened at 138 Graceland Blvd. in 2016. The 340 E Gay St. location followed in 2017.
