Having a hard time believing Hyperloop technology exists? Later this month, you’ll have an opportunity to check it out in the flesh right here in central Ohio.

The Virgin XP-1 Hyperloop pod will be on display at the Dublin Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library on Tuesday, August 6 and Gravity on Monday, August 5.

The technology was on display at COSI on Sunday, August 4.

Virgin Hyperloop One CEO Jay Walder will be touring with the pod, sharing information about hyperloop technology and the planning and feasibility studies taking place right here in Central Ohio.

Walder will also meet with legislative officials and business leaders at the Ohio Statehouse on Monday, August 5.

Virgin Hyperloop One’s technology would transport passengers and goods three times as fast as high-speed rail and enable regional cities to connect just as local city subways connect neighborhoods. A Chicago-Columbus-Pittsburgh corridor is in the study phases.

COSI: Sunday, August 4, 2019

VHO has partnered with The Center of Science and Industry (COSI) and the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) to host a STEM outreach day – featuring the XP-1 vehicle and hyperloop-related, hands-on activities for all ages. The event is free and open to the public from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at COSI, 333 West Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215.

GRAVITY: Monday, August 5, 2019

The XP-1 Hyperloop Pod will be on display at Gravity, 500 W. Broad Street, from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m.

DUBLIN, OHIO: Tuesday, August 6, 2019

The XP-1 Hyperloop Pod will be on display at Columbus Metropolitan Library – Dublin Branch, 75 N. High Street from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. View the pod on the Library plaza, grab breakfast located in the meeting room on the lower level and network with local business and community leaders. The Hyperloop Pod will be leaving the library location at 8:30 a.m.

MARYSVILLE, OHIO: Tuesday, August 6, 2019

The XP-1 Hyperloop Pod will be on display from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Partners Park, 125 E. Sixth Street, Marysville.
