This week’s events calendar features food, festivals, and fall-themed entertainment.

Oct. 9, Sleepy Hollow Drive-In—The Ohio History Center will be sharing Halloween classics all month long, and their first Friday night installment features “Creature from the Black Lagoon.” Advance tickets are required. Reservations can be made online.

Oct. 9, Franklinton Fridays—The Franklinton neighborhood comes together to celebrate art, theater, and more on the second Friday of each month. Among the places visitors can stop are Land Grant Brewing, Strongwater Food and Spirits, and The Vanderelli Room. The community’s Facebook page has more details.

Oct. 9-10, Columbus Dispatch Fall Home & Garden Show—It’s the final two days of the event, and it includes a virtual presentation from Kevin O’Connor of This Old House at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Click here for a full schedule of speakers, plus links to contests you can enter.

Oct. 9-11 + 15, Immersive Theatre Experience: The MessageThe improv troupe from The Nest Theater is staging personalized performances for audiences of one. Those wishing to take advantage of the over-the-phone Halloween experience can purchase tickets at the group’s website.

Oct. 10, 9th Annual Chalk the Block—Over 40 artists will make chalk drawings in squares in the roads surrounding Easton Town Square as part of this socially-distanced event. The masterpieces will be created on Saturday with viewing extended through Sunday, Oct. 11.

Oct. 10-11, Columbus Taco Fest—The Columbus Taco Fest will be Grab-N-Go this year as attendees will be able to pre-order online or through the StreetFoodFinder app, drive up to the event, and pick-up at the corresponding truck at a pre-set time. Social distancing will be observed, and masks will be required during pick-up. Learn more here.

Oct. 12-18, 2020 Taste of Bexley—The 2020 Taste of Bexley: At Home Edition will happen Oct. 12-18. No Tickets, no RSVP, no fancy attire. This year, the action takes place via carryout services at all of your favorite Bexley area restaurants. Be sure to mention ‘Taste of Bexley’ at checkout to receive your special or discount! Oct. 15, DJ Rezz at Westland Mall Drive-In—Award-winning Canadian DJ and producer REZZ will grace the stage Oct. 15 for a set promising dark, “techno meets dubstep” beats. REZZ will be performing live, and tickets to watch her can be purchased here.
