Columbus, by now you likely have your heavy gloves in your winter coat and your ice scraper in the front seat of your car.

But while it’s easy to get a touch of the winter blues, we think days can be considerably brightened (and warmed) with a good cup of java.

Just for you, we’ve collected the top three local coffee shops selected in our annual ColumBEST survey, a reader poll capturing local favorites from best barbecue to best fitness studio.

Regardless of which of their locations you visit, Stauf’s reliably provides quality coffee. We know you agree, dear reader, because you awarded the cafe 49.3% of your ColumBEST vote. You can also order online for in-store pickup, or enjoy online orders with free shipping.

Fox in the Snow

For a tranquil café experience, Fox in the Snow delivers. The outfit, which has locations in Italian Village, German Village, and New Albany, earned 31.3% of the ColumBEST vote to snag second place. Top off your coffee order with one of their sweet treats, like the sour cream coffee cake.

Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea

At 19.5% of the ColumBEST vote, these guys picked up a respectable third place in our best coffee competition. Check out the cafés in Clintonville and Upper Arlington to experience a brew bar featuring nitro cold brew and seasonally-inspired beverages.
