New riverfront ice skating rink now open in Dublin

Jack McLaughlin

The city of Dublin already has an ice skating rink, but it just launched another temporary waterfront rink inside the newly-opened section of its Riverfront Crossing Park.

Located at 6635, the 3,200 square foot rink stands a mere stone’s throw away from the city’s Pedestrian Bridge. At the price of $10 per person (which includes free skate rental), the new attraction will be available through mid-March 2022, according to the City of Dublin’s website.

“It wouldn’t be winter without taking a spin on the ice,” Director of Parks & Recreation Matt Earman said. “The new rink adds a touch of festive fun to the Downtown Dublin area under the perfect backdrop of The Dublin Link.”

The rink will be resurfaced daily by a zamboni, and is even capable of staying open in temperatures up to 60 degrees, due to its cooling equipment.

The park will be open on Friday, from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 12 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m. Special holiday hours can be found here.
