Jack McLaughlin

For the first time in two years, one of the city’s largest outdoor winter festivals is returning to the Scioto Mile.

WinterFest, presented by the Columbus Department of Recreation and Parks, will be held Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Bicentennial Park, located at 233 Civic Center Dr.

Admission to WinterFest is free.

The event will feature both local and national musical acts, with energetic blues group Honey and Blue taking the stage at 11 a.m., New Basics Brass Band performing at 1 p.m., and headliner Absofacto, a pop-driven electronica group hailing from Los Angeles, closing out the day with a performance at 3 p.m.

The event will also feature a wide variety of food options from local trucks like Pitabilities, Cheesy Truck, Tibetan Momo, Sweet T’s Southern Style Food Truck and many more.

Plenty of Ohio craft beer will be front and center throughout the festival as well. Visitors will be able to purchase BrewDog’s Lost Lager, Festivus from Market Garden, Columbus Brewing’s Citra Noel, Rim from Seventh Son, and Christmas Ale from Great Lakes Brewing.
