Columbus Museum of Art free on Saturdays in January, Zoo half-priced for winter
January is shaping up to be the perfect month to see two of our city’s best places to visit.
Starting Jan. 2, the Columbus Museum of Art began offering free general admission on Saturdays this month. The offer was made possible by an anonymous donation to the museum. Four consecutive Saturdays, Jan. 2-23, were covered by the donation, and museum interest group CMA Council covered Jan. 30.

If you visit during the month of January, you’ll also get 30% off the Museum Store and Schokko Café. (The latter is open for carryout only.)
CMA is still free to visit on Sundays, as well.
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, meanwhile, is offering half-priced days without reservations from Jan. 4 through Feb. 28, according to a Jan. 3 release.
Beginning today, Jan. 4, the Zoo’s hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Zoo is also offering free admission for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, on Jan. 18, and for President’s Day, on Feb. 15.
What are you waiting for, Columbus? Time to kick off 2021 with art and animals.
