Get your skate on this Friday

You’re 11 years old and wearing your favorite pair of hand-me-down jeans and a fuzzy sweater. Will Smith comes on the speakers, and you immediately put your pizza down and get out on the roller rink. 

You eventually stop skating by either falling down on your butt or—your preferred method—running into a wall. 

We haven’t lost our love for roller skating, although admittedly, we still don’t know how to properly stop. If you’re feeling the same, your moment has come: Starting at 10 p.m. April 2, you can relive your childhood with a 90’s Throwback Adult Skate at Skate Zone 71.

The three-hour party has a pretty strong playlist: Mary J. Blige, Tupac, Beastie Boys, TLC, and Whitney Houston, for starters. 

The party is for those 18 and over, and admission is $10. Skate rental is $4.50, and rollerblade rental is $5.50.
