Quarry Trails Metro Park opens today; take a first look at the new park here

Jack McLaughlin

The wait is finally over, Columbus.

According to Metro Parks Public Information Officer Peg Hanley, the first phase of the hotly-anticipated Quarry Trails Metro Park opens today.

While we don’t get the full experience just yet, as only 64 of 180 total acres will be accessible today, the park still offers attractions including access to quarry lakes, hiking trails, scenic views of wildlife and a nearly 30-foot waterfall, and—last but not least—use of the park’s massive single-track mountain bike trail system.

We’ve grabbed some early photos of the new park for you, so you can take it all in even if you can’t make it out to Quarry Trails right away. Strap on that helmet and let’s go for a ride, Columbus.
