Zoofari to return this August
Although it was canceled last year as so many events were due to the pandemic, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium‘s Zoofari is slated to be held from 7 p.m. to midnight Aug. 28, according to a release.
Presented by Fifth Third Bank, the fundraiser for those aged 21 and over will feature food from over 60 restaurants and live entertainment.

“2020 was certainly a challenging year that also prevented us from being able to hold some of our favorite annual events. While canceling last year’s event was the right and safe thing to do, this year we’re proud to bring back Zoofari, a favorite Central Ohio summertime tradition,” said Nikhil Hunshikatti, the 2021 Zoofari Committee Chair, in a prepared statement.
To comply with COVID safety measures, the event will be reduced from 7,000 guests to 3,000. The fundraiser benefits the Columbus Zoo’s Conservation Education programs.
General admission tickets cost $121 per person and include food samples, three drink tickets, and live entertainment access. VIP tickets cost $300 per person (or $3,000 for 12 tickets) and include early entry to Zoofari at 6:30 p.m., four drink tickets, and special access to VIP areas.
