The Silo has indefinitely closed its restaurant and bar space, but will remain open as  a rentable event space.

The concept, an anticipated sister restaurant to Harvest Pizzeria, focused on pan pizzas (different from Harvest’s thin, wood oven-style pies), small plates, as well as a variety of craft cocktails.

Harvest Pizzeria and The Silo co-owner Matt Torchia did say the space will eventually reopen, although no timeline is currently in place.

t is located at 940 S. Front St., and shares a building with Harvest Bar + Kitchen’s Brewery District space.

According to a statement released by The Silo and Harvest Pizzeria on their Instagram pages, the closure was due to staffing issues.

“Hello friends! The Silo will be closed until further notice: Due to staffing issues The Silo is only available as a private party party event space,” the statement read.

The Brewery District Spot is far from the only high-profile Columbus restaurant to shutter recently. This closure comes on the heels of Grandview’s Sweet Carrot closing its restaurant space last week, and long-standing German Village eatery G. Michael’s closing last month.
