After nearly 50 years, this Columbus-area diner is closing its doors for good

Fans of the classic Americana diner experience might want to make the trip down to Pickerington in the next few days, before another throwback spot closes its doors.

Olde Village Diner has announced that it will close following service on Dec. 23. The eatery will be open for breakfast and lunch, from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 23.

Olde VIllage Diner is located at 46 E. Columbus St. in downtown Pickerington.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce our permanent closure on 12/23/21. We appreciate the support and patronage from the community, especially our Meals on Wheels customers,” the restaurant said in a statement on its website. “We will miss being a part of your daily lives, and having you be a part of ours.”

A Pickerington institution, Olde Village Diner has served the community for nearly 50 years.
