Authentic Philly cheesesteak spot opens in Hilliard

From downtown Columbus, the city of Philadelphia is over 450 miles away. But now, you don’t need to take a nearly eight-hour trip just to get your hands on an authentic Philly cheesesteak.

That’s because Hoagie City, a new sandwich shop billed as a “Philadelphia-style deli” chock-full of ingredients you’d normally only find in the City of Brotherly Love, officially opened yesterday.

The new eatery is located at 3870 Main St. in Hilliard., occupying the former site of Diamonds Ice Cream.

Donning an image of the classic American Liberty Bell in its storefront signage, the new eatery will feature a full deli case (containing the iconic Philadelphia meat and cheese brand Dietz & Watson) for cold cuts, and a variety of chips to pair with your sub. And for their flagship cheesesteaks, the store will carry Amoroso rolls (another Philly-based company). Fresh-cut fries and a variety of cold sides are also available.
