Everything you need to know about Burger & Beer Week next week
So you’ve heard us going on about Burger & Beer Week, but you’re not quite sure what it’s all about? You’ve come to the right place. By the time you finish reading this, you’ll be ready to dive head first into all the delectable sandwiches (a burger is a sandwich, right?) and ice cold brews your heart desires!
First, the what. 614’s Burger & Beer Week takes place every October and is a week-long event that celebrates the best burgers Columbus has to offer plus the best beverage to wash them down, beer. Each participating restaurant offers a $6 or $8 burger creation and one or more craft brew specials to pair it with. Burger & Beer Week 2021, October 4th – 9th, is delivered to you by BBI Logistics.
As for the why? Well, duh, burgers and beer are just plain delicious! But also, it’s an opportunity for our local restaurants and their talented chefs to shine. And we never let a foodie event go by without partnering with an amazing local nonprofit to share the proceeds.

This year our Burger & Beer Week beneficiary is Star House, an organization that provides Central Ohio’s only 24/7 drop-in center for youth, ages 14-24, and their young children, who are experiencing homelessness. Fun fact: Star House actually started as an OSU research project. Here’s how you can help us donate:
- Vote in the first-ever “best burgers” poll. Each vote = a $.50 donation, up to $3,000. There are a variety of categories, from best classic burger to most unique toppings, so have some fun choosing which patties you can’t wait to try.
- Enter to win a prize package that includes tons of swag + beer courtesy of Warped Wing Brewing and Miller High Life, 614 swag, and restaurant gift cards. Entry is an additional $.50 donation!
- Use #EAT614 on social when you post your Burger & Beer Week dining excursions. Each relevant hashtag use is an additional $1.00 donation!
Finally, the how. How do you sink your teeth into the burger + beer deal once you’re at a restaurant? Chances are your waiter will give you a menu detailing their offering. If that’s not the case, simply ask what their Burger & Beer Week specials are!
