Grandview-area ramen bar coming this fall

Earlier this summer, we told you a new ramen bar was headed to Fifth Avenue.

Now, we have more details to share.

Owner Leon Zhu said Kyushu Ramen is expected to open in October at 1280 W. 5th Ave. Zhu has previously owned Chinese restaurants, and owns Yun Nan Crossing Bridge Noodle on Bethel Road.

Zhu said he’s a big fan of noodle soups. “I like pho, ramen and all kind[s] of Chinese noodle soups,” he said.

Zhu said he plans to serve traditional Japanese ramen. In 2019, he went to Japan for ramen classes, and recently finished up more classes in Los Angeles.
