Hot from the Kiosk: Convention Center offers vending machine pizza

Would you eat pizza from a vending machine? 

If you visit the Greater Columbus Convention Center, you’ll have the chance. 

The Just Baked Pizza Kiosk was added this past fall to accommodate the growing request for contactless services, said Leslie Nutter, sales and marketing coordinator for the convention center. 

“This was a great addition to our upgraded health and safety initiatives and also provided another opportunity to pursue the growing trends around quick and convenient service,” she said.

The kiosk offers cheese and pepperoni pizzas, along with pretzels and cookies, Nutter said. Availability is determined by how many people the convention center has for events on a given day.

Since it was installed, attendees from hosted sporting events have sampled the kiosk pizza, as well as Franklin County Municipal Court guests, she said.

“Guests have been excited and are always taking photos of the food kiosk,” Nutter said. “We are looking forward to [seeing] how it is received as we reactivate our facility and welcome more guests and attendees.”
