Lond-standing Grandview coffee shop goes on indefinite hiatus

For now, at least, Grandview residents have one fewer spot to grab a cup of coffee from.

On Oct. 12, Luck Bros’ Coffee House—located at 1101 W. 1st Ave.—announced it would be shuttering its brick and mortar storefront for an indefinite amount of time.

“Due to staff shortage and family health needs, we have put retail operations on hold. We are shipping coffee orders, subscriptions, and offering wholesale delivery. Thank you for your understanding and support,” owner Andy Luck said in a statement posted to the coffee shop’s website.

Luck Bros’, which also sells artisan baked goods, first opened in 2006.

This doesn’t mean it’s the end for the shop’s current operations, though. The Grandview roasters will continue to offer online coffee sales, coffee subscriptions, and wholesale services.

Every Monday, the Luck Bros’ roasts its beans for the week and mails their coffee subscriptions. There are currently options available for Costa Rican and Columbian beans, although they regularly carry more varieties.
