New dueling piano bar now open in the Short North

Just like that, Columbus has a pair of brand-new piano bars. After the grand opening of the Big Bang Dueling Pianos Bar early last month, Howl at the Moon is now officially opened for business as well.

The Chicago-based chain of piano bars has its Columbus location at 504 Park St. in the Short North. After announcing its intentions to open a local spot this spring, Howl at the Moon officially opened over the weekend, hosting a pair of grand opening parties on Nov. 5 and 6.

Billed as “part bar, part concert”, its brand of high-energy live music generally features hit songs and audience requests.

And in case that’s not enough excitement for you, Howl at the Moon has begun selling drink “buckets” in sizes up to 86 ounces.

The newly-opened Short North spot has a variety of events on the horizon as well, including Thanksgiving Eve, Ugy Sweater, and New Year’s Eve parties. You can book a table here.
