New sushi restaurant to open in Powell

Heads up, sushi fans.
Oishii Sushi Bistro is slated to open this June at 8 N. Liberty St. in Powell.
According to Xuegong Chen, the venture was motivated by business partner Dennis Wang.
“He’s the main reason we did it,” Chen said.

Chen said Wang, a sushi chef for over 10 years, suggested the Powell location because he wanted the opportunity to create sushi on a smaller scale.
Chen also owns Typhoon Asian Fusion Bistro at 10 N. Sandusky St. in Delaware. He said Oishii will be a more intimate space, with a sushi bar, drinks bar, and eight tables.
The new eatery will focus on Japanese cuisine including teriyaki in addition to sushi.
