Pizza Cottage opens in Powell

Lewis Center and Powell pizza lovers, heads up.

Pizza Cottage is now open at 8753 Owenfield Dr. in Powell.

Chad Dawson, regional manager, said the store opened Jan. 4 for carryout and delivery and will open Jan. 11 for dine-in.

The location was the right fit, and since Pizza Cottage’s owner resides in Delaware, they wanted to expand into this market, Dawson said.

“This is our first location in the Columbus market, and we wanted to be in this ever-growing area to introduce our brand,” he said.

Founded in 1972 in Carroll, Ohio, Pizza Cottage locations also include Buckeye Lake, Circleville, Lancaster, Newark, Pickerington, and Zanesville.

Dawson said Pizza Cottage plans to expand more in the near future with locations in Athens and Grove City.

Despite the pandemic, opening in Powell was important to provide opportunities for people to work and bring their product to new markets, Dawson said.

“Pizza Cottage has been blessed to be able to sustain our business and weather the storm during these difficult times,” he said. “We have been able to adapt and move towards more carryout and third party delivery to accommodate needs during this pandemic.”

The outfit’s menu includes pizza, subs, wings, and pasta. Guests can order via drive-thru and delivery for now. Dine-in hours will be 11 a.m. through 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
