Popular Clintonville sweet shop closing until spring

If you want an extreme shake or some indulgent carnival-inspired concoctions this winter, you’re going to have to look somewhere other than Libby Lou’s Fun Factory.

That’s because the Clintonville confectioner is now officially closed until the spring of 2022 when they plan to reopen. A new menu will be introduced when the spot opens again next year.

Libby Lou’s Fun Factory is located at 3039 Indianola Ave.

“I want to thank all of you who came from all over Ohio, New York, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Florida this summer,” Libby Lou’s said in a statement posted to their Instagram account. “I enjoyed getting to meet so many people and sharing my story with you. I look forward to seeing you again next year.”

Libby Lou’s last day of official operation was Dec. 18. The sweet shop announced that online shopping for pick-up, delivery, and third-party shipping will be remain open throughout the winter.

An official reopening date for the spring has not been announced yet.
