Popular fried chicken spot teams up with Buckeye Lady for month-long collab

Even though the ever-popular chicken sandwich pop-up Fried Chicka Bang is closed for the month of August, when they do re-open on Sept. 1, they have some treats in store for customers.

Literally.

That’s because Fried Chicka Bang is pairing up with one of the city’s fastest-growing dessert vendors, The Buckeye Lady. A testament to both companies’ playful and collaborative ethos, each one will be releasing a brand-new dessert—available for the entire month of September—inspired by the other’s menu.

Fried Chicka Bang will be selling a buckeye cheesecake parfait, which the restaurant describes as “creamy cheesecake layers mixed with silky peanut butter, Oreo crumbles, and topped with a Buckeye Lady buckeye.” The dessert will be available at both of the eatery’s locations.

The Buckeye Lady, formerly known as Bucks for Pups, will feature the Elvis Buckeye, one of her signature candies stuffed with Fried Chicka Bang’s fan-favorite banana pudding and crunchy banana chips. This speciality treat can be purchased in their Box O’ Bucks Variety Pack and Box O’ Bucks single flavor option.

“We are so excited for this collaboration not only because The Buckeye Lady’s buckeyes are the best in Columbus (seriously, the Chicks eat a whole pack during one shift), but to support a fellow woman run business that started in Columbus is a perfect fit,” said Fried Chicka Bang in a statement. “Columbus native women supporting each other’s business is a goal and a dream come true for both parties.”
