Popular local pizzeria opening new Hilliard location next month

Pizza fans across Columbus have something to be excited about: a new Sexton’s Pizza location is scheduled to open soon. According to owner Joey Sexton, the new location is slated open sometime in December, although no there is no specific date currently in place.

The new pizzeria will be located at 5460 Franklin St. in Hilliard, and will feature the city’s only sunset patio, according to Sexton, alongside an outdoor bocce ball setup. It even boasts a waterfront location, next to one of the several small lakes in the Hilliard area.

According to Sexton, all of these attractions will make the new location a dine-in destination, which is a change of pace for Sexton’s Pizza.

“Our Gahanna location has a little dine-in traffic, but it’s in a strip mall, and the majority of food we serve there is pickup and delivery,” he said. “That’s going to be flipped in Hilliard, we envision it being 90 percent dine-in customers.”

Known for crafting both square and triangle-cut pies from artisan ingredients, Sexton’s Pizza also has locations in Reynoldsburg (8005 E. Broad St.) and Gahanna (943 E. Johnston Rd.), in addition to another Gahanna location that offers carry-out and delivery only (152 Mill St.).
