See what’s new from the mastermind behind Wizard of Za

Though Spencer Saylor has enjoyed considerable success from his popular pizza venture, he hasn’t stopped cooking up new ideas.

His latest is Testa di Lemone (Lemonhead in Italian), a test kitchen-style menu now offering pasta and ice cream from the Wizard of Za spot. Saylor manages the new venture along with Dylan Isaac Jones, who oversees production.

“Wizard has continued to be an absolute blessing and dream come true each and every day,” Saylor said. “The opportunity to feed people’s souls is all I can ask for, and so having the chance to do that even more with Testa di Limone is so exciting.”

The pasta can be preordered via the Wizard of Za site for pickup on Thursdays, while homemade ice cream is available starting at 3 p.m. Sundays on a first come, first served basis.

Pasta dishes include handmade triangoli in a sage butter sauce, handmade pappardelle in a lemon cream sauce, and handmade tagliatelle alla vodka & chorizo sausage. For ice cream, flavors have included strawberry, dark chocolate, and brown butter pecan. The pasta ranges in price from $12-18 and the ice cream is $4 for an 8-ounce cup.

Saylor said his team is excited to get creative and bring more handcrafted cuisine to the area.

“I can only hope that Columbus enjoys it, like they have enjoyed our pizza, so that maybe one day Testa di Limone has its own space to serve this cuisine, and another opportunity for folks to grab a Wizard of Za pie, too,” Saylor said.
