The peanut butter collab you need to hear about

Two local sweets superstars are uniting, and we get to reap the benefits.

The Blonde Bomb Bakery is teaming up with newcomer Peanut Butter & Jenny to offer four special cake bombs for a limited-quantity sale starting tomorrow morning, May 27.

“We reached out to Peanut Butter and Jenny a few weeks ago, really just wanting to do a collaboration,” said Blonde Bomb owner Sarah Biggard. “We love using locally, at any level we can.”

The cake bomb sale will include one of the four special cake bombs and a two-ounce peanut butter jar from Peanut Butter & Jenny, featuring the peanut butter used in the cake bomb.

The cake bombs include:
-PB&J Cake Bomb, featuring Simply Salted Peanut Butter, peanut butter cream cake made with Simply Salted PB, and Ohio strawberry jam.

-Peanut Butter and Apple Cake Bomb, featuring apple cake and apple compote made with apples from Lynd Fruit Farm and Bear Hug Peanut Butter.

-Peanut and Pretzel Cheesecake Bomb, featuring white chocolate cheesecake, White Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter, pretzel graham crust, salted caramel, pretzel brittle, and white chocolate chips.

-Peanut Joy Cake Bomb, featuring buttermilk chocolate cake, Peanut Joy Peanut Butter (an exclusive flavor), toasted coconut caramel, and brown sugar peanuts.

While the treats will only be around for a limited time, Biggard plans on using Peanut Butter & Jenny’s PB for the long-term.

“Any recipe containing peanut butter will be made with Peanut Butter & Jenny’s Peanut butter,” she said.

Jenny Kuzmic, who runs Peanut Butter & Jenny with her sister Kelsey Dober, said they’re both thrilled to be working with another local business and honored to be The Blonde Bomb’s exclusive peanut butter supplier.

“Sarah has so much experience, knowledge, and skill in pastry that we have no doubt she will make our peanut butter shine in anything she creates,” Kuzmic said. “We love that as local, women-owned small businesses we can support one another with this partnership and help each other grow in the process.”

You can find Peanut Butter & Jenny’s PB on their website and The Butcher & Grocer.
