This retro-themed cookie bakery is opening soon at Budd Dairy Food Hall

Before any of us even had time to mourn news of The Cheesecake Girl’s departure from Budd Dairy Food Hall to launch its first standalone location in Dublin, the popular Italian Village food hall already announced a new dessert vendor.

Say hello to Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies.

This 1950’s-themed bakery, featuring from-scratch cookies, buckeyes, whoopie pies, cakes-in-a-jar and more will open at Budd Dairy on Sept. 14. The Cheesecake Girl will move out on Sept. 12.

Owned by local baker Holly Schaffner, the business currently runs a storefront in Powell, located at 178 W. Olentangy St.

Mrs. Turbo’s will occupy a new, rotating dessert space within the food hall known as Sugar. The new vendor stall is billed as a spot that will feature “tasty treats for guests to top off their meal experience,” according to a press release.

Sugar will operate out of the former Stauf’s Coffee Roasters location inside Budd Dairy.

This marks the second rotating kitchen to come to the food hall. The first, known as Hatch, was home to The Cheesecake Girl.

“The launch of Sugar was the perfect opportunity to give Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies a chance to shine,” said Steve Weis, Vice President of Development for Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “We are excited to welcome this new addition and we think our guests will love her tasty treats.”
