Top Steak House planning patio expansion for summer

This summer, Top Steak House guests will have even more space to enjoy while dining outside.

Jean Adkins, who co-owns the eatery with husband Denver Adkins, sister Emily Schoedinger and her husband Matt, and parents Joyce and Craig Hoover, said an expanded patio is expected to be ready by Memorial Day weekend.

“I think it’s going to have a really cool vibe,” Adkins said.

Right now, the 2891 E. Main St. eatery has a patio that can fit up to 30 people, Adkins said.

“It’s small and it’s quaint,” she said.

After the expansion, the patio will be able to seat about 80 people, she said. It will feature a 15-seat bar and a water fountain.

“When the pandemic hit, it really just seemed like a good time to ramp it up,” Adkins said.

Though many people don’t know that Top Steak House even has a patio because it’s a bit hidden, Adkins said she and her co-owners are working to make it a focal point. They’re even considering offering a brunch on Saturdays and Sundays as part of the patio’s launch, she said.

“We really enjoy our guests,” she said.
