Tupelo Honey is coming to the Columbus area.

The Asheville, North Carolina-based spot for scratch-made and responsibly-sourced chicken and waffles, bone-in fried chicken, shrimp and grits, po’ boys, and much more is headed to Upper Arlington. It will be located at 1678 Lane Ave, and is slated to open in the summer of 2022.

Tupelo Honey’s Upper Arlington location will be the eatery’s first in Ohio. It currently has restaurants in 10 different states, including forthcoming locations in Indiana, Iowa, and Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

“Since 2000, Tupelo Honey continues to inspire a revival of Southern food and traditions rooted in the Carolina Mountains we call home,” a statement regarding their Upper Arlington expansion reads. “We use fresh, responsibly-sourced and ‘forever free’ ingredients to bring the scratch-made taste of the South to every new community. We make the move up north in Summer 2022.”

It will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in addition to a bar with a wide variety of signature drink options.
