Novak’s anticipates reopening sometime in February

Temporarily shuttered Novak’s Tavern & Patio, 475 N. High St. is expected to open next month.

Owner Greg Tishkoff said the 10 p.m. curfew has proved to be a challenge, along with limited foot traffic and patio business due to the winter weather and a limited capacity to allow for social distancing.

He said the tavern might use the down time to make capital improvements while it has the opportunity.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we anticipate reopening sometime in February, early March at the latest,” Tishkoff said.

Novak’s announced yesterday via social media that it would be temporarily closing.

“Sad news to share friends. We’ve made the difficult decision to temporarily close our doors,” the post reads. “We hope this is brief and that we can be back to serving you guys soon. Please continue to follow us for future updates and stay safe.”

“We look forward to welcoming back our loyal customers and our amazing staff in the upcoming weeks,” Tishkoff said.
