Polaris “Selfie Museum” closing its doors

A selfie museum in Columbus is set to close after the end of the month.

The Polaris location of Viral Columbus, located at 1500 Polaris Pkwy, announced that it will close for good on Aug. 1.

A 5,000 square foot counterpart to the original Viral Columbus spot, which is located at 1555 N. 4th St., the Polaris location opened in November of last year.

The original Viral Columbus space opened late last summer. Featuring a multitude of themed rooms with props and even additional lighting, both selfie museums allow visitors the backdrop and tools to snap the perfect selfie.

Viral Columbus’ 4th St. location will remain open.

Billed as the first self museum in the city, Viral Columbus has seen other similar spots open since last summer. The Selfie Palace, located in Eastland Mall, officially opened its doors earlier this year.
