While questions swirled about the future of the popular rock and metal festival Sonic Temple over the last several years, it’s ready to return in 2023.

According to the Sonic Temple website, next year’s festival will take place at the Historic Crew Stadium from May 25-28. The popular event has not taken place since 2019.

Danny Wimmer Presents, the production company behind the festival, posted a 37 second video teaser several days ago that implied something was coming to the Historic Crew Stadium, although no further details were given. Earlier today, the official announcement was made that the festival would return in 2023.

“Columbus, OH is such a special place to Danny Wimmer Presents,” said Danny Wimmer in a press release. “It is where the company produced some of the biggest and most acclaimed rock festivals in the United States, so to be able to return home to Historic Crew Stadium to give fans Sonic Temple once again is going to be the highlight of 2023 for us. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back.”
